Colm O’hEocha
In roles from programmer to Chief Technical Architect to Director of R&D, Colm has over 20 years experience in IT. Introducing agile and lean software development methods to companies since 2001, Colm has huge experience of the opportunities and pitfalls organisations face introducing and scaling methods such as Scrum in real enterprise development environments. As both agile team member and manager, he has guided agile adoption strategy in diverse development environments such as web applications, enterprise systems, firmware and data streaming platforms. Colm provides executive and team level training, consulting, coaching and assessment services in Scrum, Lean and Kanban methods.
Emmet Townsend
Emmet Townsend joined D&B in August 2011 from Mysis. He has over sixteen years experience in the technology industry holding various roles of increasing responsibility including positions in software development and management. Emmet has worked in start up companies in addition to large organisations. Emmet holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computing.
Fran O'Hara
Fran is Principal Consultant and founder/director of Inspire Quality Services. Previously Fran worked as Practice Manager with Sogeti Ireland (2008-2011) and was a co-founder and Practice Director of Insight Test Services (2003-2008) until its acquisition by Sogeti. Fran has worked in the software industry for over twenty six years in research, safety-critical software development and in latter years in agile/quality/process services across a range of sectors.
Gerard Hartnett
Gerard has 12-years of Agile experience and 22-years of software development experience in a range of companies from start-ups to multinationals. He is CTO of Goshido - a unique cloud platform for collaboration and running projects. Goshido blends the best ideas from Agile, Lean, Productivity & Attention Management. He has co-authored a number of papers on Agile techniques and a book on embedded networking, which was published by Intel Press.
Dr Richard Bowden
Richard currently holds the role of COO with Cloud Consulting. Richard has over eighteen years experience in developing and delivering software solutions in different business areas. He has ten years team and project management experience with a focus on service quality, relationship management, and team development in a range of multinational and indigenous companies. Previous roles include: Oracle Corporation - IT Programme Manager and CRM Programme Manager, IBM Software - IT Applications Manager, Claris Software - IT Applications Manager and KPMG - IT Consultant.
Dr Robert McGarry
Dr Robert McGarry is the General Manager of Ignition Team based in Northern Ireland. Robert has led the energetic formation of Ignition Team and is passionate about providing the greatest business value to all Ignition Team’s customers. He specialises in making organisations become more efficient and effective by helping them improve their ability to sense, act and prioritise. With more than 22 years of professional IT experience across a range of industries, Robert brings a wealth of experience in the development of bespoke applications and systems integration.
