Description
Whenever there is some discussion around agile processes there is always a point being raised regarding effective planning and estimation. Most of the people have always struggled with story pointing and how to justify it to the entire team and even the clients.
People have also faced challenges in deciding who should participate in the poker planning and who should not, when to do it in order to make it more effective and beneficial, how to do it with distributed teams so on and so forth.
I along with the group of colleagues look forward to do this Planning Poker for Dummies as an Interactive Session/ Workshop where the audience will have a feel of the process and methods followed during a real project planning. This would also include explaining the necessity of an effective planning poker for the team as a whole. It would also provide understanding of how Planning poker provides a greater sense of team ownership and how to leverage the collective wisdom of the whole team.
The primary focus of this session will be on people who have recently started practicing agile or who wish to start it in near future. It will also act as a refresher for all those who have been practicing agile for quite some time now.
