Biography

Maya Srihari, a senior consultant with QAI Global, has over 34 years of experience in the software industry and has worked with  leading IT organizations including Tata Consultancy Services and IBM, India.  During her thirteen years with IBM, she led the Agile and Quality programs for the product development lab in India.  She has collaborated with senior engineers, leaders and researchers from IBM worldwide and contributed in asset creation to support Agile and Software Engineering best practices, as well as in driving Agile enablement initiatives.  Maya has conducted numerous workshops on IBM's Disciplined Agile Development methodology in India as well as other Asia-Pacific countries. She has extensive experience in coaching teams to implement and benefit from Agile and Lean techniques and in assessing their practice adoption levels for efficiency and effectiveness.  She has been responsible for a number of process improvement efforts in the organizations she has served and has provided process consultancy to software units in Asia-Pacific, Africa and Europe.

Description

Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), the latest in software process from IBM Rational, is an evolutionary approach to system development that focuses on the regular delivery of a high-quality solution in a timely and cost efficient manner to meet the changing needs of its customers. DAD is a hybrid method which adopts strategies from Scrum, Extreme Programming, Agile Modeling, Unified Process, and Lean to provide a disciplined, full-lifecycle approach to agile software delivery. DAD includes practices to reduce risk early in the lifecycle, release the system into production, and for scaling agile software delivery. The DAD process framework helps project teams to successfully apply fundamental agile techniques throughout the software delivery lifecycle. This presentation provides an overview of the Disciplined Agile Delivery process framework.
